Background
The Health Research Authority (HRA) is an arms-length body of the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) in England that protects and promotes the interests of patients and the public involved in health or social care research.
The HRA currently uses Finance and Payroll services from the NHS England's Shared Business Services (SBS) division and they wanted to explore the impact of moving away from this and utilising their own system, believing that having more control would improve user experience, increase flexibility and control as well as giving them more value for money. Having a trusted, knowledgeable partner to help them was key and so HRA engaged with Exception to conduct Market Analysis and identify a solution that would meet its needs.
How We Help
Exception condcuted a thorough requirements gathering exercise, engaging with a variety of key stakeholders. The outcome of the exercise was to prepare a costed, market analysis document outlining the various potential solutions along with cost estimates and fit scoring against HRA'S needs.
As a result of this engagement, HRA understand the solutions available in the market that best meet their needs and have all the information they need to make an informed decision to take the organisation forward.
